When people give us advice the hope is that it is coming from a place of love and a desire to help.  Unfortunately, that is not always the case.  Sometimes it is that persons' ego exerting itself in an attempt to feel empowered.  Other times, it is a calculate, yet subtle way to exert power or authority.  How do you know which it is?  Thankfully, we all have the ability to sense sincerity, yet it's not always easy.  Today, I talk about ways to determine when someone is acting on your behalf when they give advice and when they are not.
