1794: Wash Over the Day
Have you ever had one unsettling moment take over an otherwise beautiful day? This morning, while out for a walk, I overheard an interaction that stayed with me long after the people involved had gone in another direction. I found myself replaying it, growing angrier each time, until I realized that I had a choice: I could continue absorbing that energy and allow it to shape my day, or I could acknowledge what I had witnessed and let it go.
In today’s episode, I talk about what it means to wash over the day rather than letting the day wash over you. This isn’t about ignoring difficult moments, excusing harmful behavior, or pretending everything is wonderful. It’s about consciously choosing the energy you carry forward. When you allow your love, calm, and compassion to envelop you—and then extend outward into the world—you stop surrendering your inner state to every circumstance you encounter.
Thanks for Listening!
