Cortisol plays an important part in a healthy metabolism, the formation of memory and the body's treatment of inflammation. It is wonderfully efficient. It even gets the body ready to face a threat or run from that very same fear.
All good stuff. However, when the body is flooded with Cortisol it has anything but a healthy role in helping the body. In our hectic world the brain sees everything as a threat and accordingly pumps out Cortisol in large quantities. There needs to be a way to stop it and that is what I will talk about today.
